Mega Drabbles: Don't Go 4
"Megamind, let me go!" Roxanne pleaded desperately, finally having enough as she tried to pull away. "Why are you doing this? Are you this arrogant? This selfish? You've caused nothing but trouble from day one, and now-"
She was cut off when the villain pressed his lips against hers, silencing her in a kiss. Roxanne's eyes widened, and for a second she tried to pull away. But Megamind wouldn't let her, and nor would her brain. She was angry at herself for shutting her eyes and sinking into it.
His lips left hers and he whispered:
"I love you, Roxanne."
Mega Drabbles: Lips
Megamind found himself shaking people's hands as the crowd gathered around him. Reporters were already on the scene, microphones and cameras at the ready, and the new hero was soon in about five or six different interviews all at once. He noticed that Roxanne was in the same situation as him.
He also noticed that she was staring at him. More specifically, his lips.
When he noticed, Megamind found himself staring at hers, realizing that he wanted to taste them. He took two steps forwards without a word, and kissed her.
A chorus of "aww" was heard throughout the crowd.
MM: Those Seven Months 16
When Roxanne Ritchi first pictured her wedding day as a little girl, she pictured herself wearing a white dress just like a princess, standing next to a handsome prince as they said their vows. The cake would be an enormous chocolate one, covered in candy, and she would arrive and leave in a horse-pulled-carriage. It was a fantasy, and it had soon died as she'd grown older. By the time she was thirty she'd decided that she didn't want the typical white dress, or an enormous cake. She wanted to get married maybe somewhere exotic, and to have a unique wedding which would stand out among the rest.
She got a unique wedding, all right. But she'd

"A night club?"
"That's what I was thinking," Roxanne replied, shrugging as she leaned back against the black leather seats.
It was certainly a change, sitting in the back seats of the Invisible Car without being tied up, knocked out or blindfolded. She had been walking along the streets under the midday May sunshine until the familiar car had pulled up alongside her, and an even familiar blue hand yanked her inside. Megamind had just escaped from jail after his latest failure, and instead of waiting to call her, he'd decided to save her from that boring work meeting she'd been complaining about on their last date. "Sorry, I was kidnapped",
MM: Those Seven Months 15
His bright green eyes just stared blankly at the monitor, but Megamind wasn't really watching it. His thoughts were far away, playing what had happened the previous night over and over again, and wondering if he'd ruined everything he had with the woman he loved.
They'd kissed. Megamind wasn't even sure if he had been the one to start it, but one their lips had touched, he didn't want to stop and ask. He didn't regret the kiss itself; it had been amazing, and possibly one of the best experiences he'd ever had, and quite possibly, ever will have. It was what had happened afterwards which gave him the melancholy feelings; after the firework di
Mega Drabbles: Attachment
There was a knock at the door, before Roxanne's head appeared from behind it.
"Sorry I'm late," she apologized to her boss. "My boyfriend has...attachment issues."
Her boss was about to ask why, but bit his lip to stop his laughter when the rest of his star reporter appeared. Her arms were pinned down by her sides due to said boyfriend hugging her, his arms around her tightly, his face pressing against her back and eyes closed.
"It's not funny," she insisted as her boss began laughing. "He just...didn't want me to leave. Our...first time last night."
Mega Drabbles: Learning
"Now, you need to be able to draw your gun quickly, so the enemy doesn't get a chance to fire," Megamind instructed, demonstrating with his gun.
Twelve year old Megan watched closely as her father shot the pillow in front of them, turning it into a dehydrated cube.
"Now you try, honey," he told her, giving her the gun.
She tucked it in her belt, before trying to withdraw it quickly. But it slipped in her hands and ended up shooting a Brainbot. Both cringed as the cube fell.
"You'll get the hang of it," Megamind said, patting her shoulder.
Mega Drabbles: Worried
Roxanne's thoughts were on two things. First: Megamind. After helping her home two nights before, she didn't know what to think about him. Second: Hal. He'd proclaimed himself a villain the evening before, and she didn't know whether to stay or run. Would he come and hurt her?
Her doorbell rang. At first Roxanne hesitated, but she went to go look anyway.
It was Megamind.
She opened it up, and instantly his arms were around her, bringing her into a hug. She was unsure how to react.
"I was so worried he'd come and hurt you."
Roxanne hugged him back.
Mega Drabbles: Sleepy Head
Roxanne closed the door behind her, bag of milk in her hand as she entered her apartment. After putting the bag in the kitchen she walked out...
At first she was unsure what to think, but then found herself smiling.
Megamind and Sapphire were asleep on the couch, the little girl in the supervillain's lap. Their heads rested together as they slept.
Quickly and quietly, Roxanne took out her camera and snapped a photo of them. The smile still on her face she decided to leave the pair for now.
She could blackmail Megamind with the picture later.
Mega Drabbles: Don't Care
When Megamind was about to switch on the disguise, Roxanne unstrapped it from his wrist and placed it back on the table. Megamind gave her a confused look.
"But then people will see me?" he said.
"Exactly," Roxanne said back. "I don't care who sees; I want to be seen with you."
Megamind looked at her again, before he smirked.
"In that case, I want to show you off to everyone!" he proclaimed. "I'm in love with Roxanne Ritchi, and I don't care who knows!"
Roxanne laughed as he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her out the door.
Mega Drabbles: Tea Party
"That one there is Doggy, and this one is called Kitty," Sapphire explained, pointing to each of her stuffed animals as she pretended to pour some more tea for herself.
Megamind and Minion sat in a circle with her and her toys, tea cups in hand. Minion looked to be in his element, playing along with the game happily. But Megamind looked embarrassed.
"Heroes don't play tea parties."
"Lighten up, sir."
There was a flash of a camera, followed by hurriedly retreating footsteps and Roxanne's laughter. Megamind growled.
"That's now two pictures she has of me to use as blackmail."
Mega Drabbles: Pregnant
"Megamind, I need to show you something," Roxanne told her husband as she stepped out the bathroom.
"Is it a puppy?" he immediately asked.
"No. Even better," his wife replied. "You remember when I told Wayne I wasn't sure if we could have children? Well..."
She handed the item to him, and Megamind's eye widened at the word written on it.
He turned back to Roxanne, who nodded with happy tears in her eyes. He immediately embraced her, rocking from side to side as he shed his own tears.
They were going to be a real family at last.
Sick Day "Sir, I don't think this is a very good idea." Minion said, handing his master their latest weapon. Megamind had woken up this morning sicker than a dog and he still wanted to continue with their plan for today.
Megamind blew it off, placing the ray next to him on his table. "Enough Minion. We have a shedule to keep!"
"Schedule, Sir." Minion corrected.
Megamind ignored him asking "Is the destruct-o-tron ready?"
Minion sighed "Yes, Sir."
"Good. Now go get Roxanne." Megamind commanded.
Minion tried one last time to
Mega Drabbles: Grave
Flowers in hand, Roxanne slowly made her way over to her father's grave. It had been a few weeks since the accident...and a few weeks since she'd last seen Megamind. He was keeping his distance, and she was grateful for it.
When she arrived at the grave, she paused. There were already a fresh batch of flowers resting next to the grave, blue in colour. Her suspicions raised as to who left them, Roxanne knelt down and read the label.
'You have a wonderful daughter.
Turning, Roxanne spotted a blue, cloaked figure hiding behind one of the trees.
Mega Drabbles: Still Want You
Roxanne could not stand looking into his face any longer. His green eyes showed just how vulnerable he really was, and the look he was giving her was one of utter defeat. He had been defeated many times before, but she knew that this one hurt him a lot more than the others. But it was his fault, she kept assuring herself. Not mine.
She passed him and walked away, trying not to look back. Because looking back meant that she still felt something for him. So when she did, she realized that she still wanted him to be hers.
W-IR: Game Trip, Chap 1
When the jar of quarters began to overflow, Suzie Dawn knew that it was time for another official Game Night. She and Mina had been talking about having one for ages, but Suzie didn't want to go without at least a good amount of quarters that will last her the whole night.
An overflowing jar was plenty.
The eighteen year old brushed her shoulder-length blonde hair which had earned her the nickname of 'Moppet Girl' for so long. It didn't look like a mop anymore – that look was long gone, along with her glasses and braces – but where she lived, nicknames stuck until the kid left for good.
The foster home contained more children t

Hondo's words processed in Katooni's head as she looked back at the younglings, and then at her fallen friends.
She'd already known that the Sith were involved in the slaughter of the Jedi Temple. Having seen a Sith already just days prior, it wasn't a long jump to that conclusion. And it would explain how Gungi and her friends had been killed by a lightsaber.
But through the Force, the young Jedi could feel that something didn't add up. The two surviving younglings were scared of her lightsaber when they shouldn't be; Katooni could understand that they would be jumpy, but a Sith's lightsaber was always red.
So why didn't they like her blu
SW: Galaxies Collide, Chap 15
Even though the journey lasted a week, it was the quietest week Obi-Wan had ever experienced in his short life.
After Keria's death, Siri had cried in his arms. All her questions and confusion had been forgotten, and for the few hours that followed, Obi-Wan just held her – for it was all he could do while Qui-Gon and C-3PO took care of Keria's body.
A short rest had followed, and only afterwards did Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan explain to Siri who they really were; that they were Jedi, who were the peacekeepers of another more advanced galaxy, and who gained their wisdom and powers through something called the Force.
Obi-Wan expected her to b

"And sometimes I just don't know what to do with her," Keria was saying. "Apart from how we look we barely have anything in common, and it just makes things harder. She takes after her father, whoever that was."
Qui-Gon listened to her with half of his attention, the other half focussed on his surroundings as he watched out for anything suspicious. He and Keria were sat in her car up the street from the school, and had been for most of the night. Earlier they'd bought a take-away from the burger bar, and the rubbish was dumped on the back seat.
"Differences are not always bad," he told her. "Sometimes the personality of one individual compl
TCW: Of Pirates and Jedi, Chap 5
The pirates were able to land their ship in the rough area of Coruscant, where people didn't care who you were and what you were there for, so long as they were tipped a good price.
It was night when they arrived, and were able to travel across the city undercover in an old speeder. Katooni kept close to Hondo as she watched the world passing by, pulling her cloak closer around her whenever she saw Clone Troopers on the road.
Her heart sank when a Clone held out a hand to stop them, and the pirate driving pulled over. All of them were wearing cloaks like Katooni – even Hondo – and Katooni guessed that it must have looked suspicious.

Roxanne remained still for a long time. She had seen the look in his eyes; she had been aware of his crush on her back in High School, and possibly even during kidnappings, but she never suspected the feeling was this deep. Not even when he gave her that look of utter defeat.
"Really?" she asked with doubt.
"Yes!" he replied frantically. "I love you, Roxanne. More than I've ever loved anything before. You've changed me. You've made me not want to be the bad guy any more. You-"
It was Roxanne's turn to cut him off with a kiss.
Goodnight Enigmatic SongShe was the song you hear and, at first blush, don't like.
Well, you don't know how you feel about it so you keep listening in an attempt to discover how exactly you feel and then you reach the end of the song and you realize, you don't like it; you love it.
That was Grace.
She was my coworker and she was my friend.
We carpooled together, I drove and she slept most of the way.
"Don't get much sleep at night, do you?" I asked her, catching those drooping lids mid-descent.
She looked out the window streaked with rain; it spoke in percussive touches filling the car with quiet overcast conversation.
I felt the warmth of her smile in the corner of my eye. The blur of her hand reached at the window to feel the cold of the droplets.
"When I was a girl, I used to race these. I thought it was funny the fat ones always won," she giggled and I imagined her as a little girl in the passenger seat then, legs too short to reach so kicking, and hair messed in the bac
