Mega Drabbles: Thunder
The thunderstorm had been very unexpected. One minute the sky was clear, but the next, black clouds had gathered and the rain was hammering down. Two twelve year old kids had been out playing, along with a fish, and were forced to take cover under a bush to keep dry.
Lighting filled the sky, followed by a clash of thunder. Roxanne yelped with fright, clutching her blue friend with white knuckles. The boy looked down at his friend, before he put an arm around the girl and held her close.
She was his only human friend. He would protect her.
MM: Those Seven Months 14
The first thing she did that morning was call in sick. Noticeably, Roxanne was far from sick physically, but emotionally, she was a wreck. Her head was spinning out of control, and she knew she wouldn't be able to focus that day, so realized there was no point going in. Besides, she had the most important decision of her life in front of her, and she knew she had to make the right choice. What that right choice was, unfortunately, was beyond her.
Megamind had kissed her. Or rather, they had kissed together; it was hard to tell who had stimulated the kiss, since she hadn't even known they were leaning in until their lips were touching. And by that time, she hadn't wanted to pull back. For an evil genius, he was one hell of a good kisser. No, she took that back; he was better than most guys would probably ever be. Not that Roxanne had many kisses to compare him with. Two of the guys she'd dated never kissed her; the third had, but it hadn't been much, since he was afraid to do so. Metro
Megamind - I'm Sorry
It was this word, this single word, which shut Roxanne's anger back in it's little box in her body until she felt the need to use it again. The look on his face before when she had asked him what he could possibly gain out of pursuing a relationship with her had tamed her anger a little, but it was this one word a reply to her asking him if he ever thought she would be with him which chased the raging emotion away, leaving nothing but a blank space in her heart. It was because of how he had said it; like it was a truth he had been trying to ignore all along.
He looked into her eyes, that same look which seemed to say explain so much, but also made her feel guilty. Roxanne briefly wondered how on earth a super villain could nail such a look, but pushed this thought aside and came back to her senses. She couldn't stand looking at him any longer. Not out of hate; she wanted to get away from him and the look on his face before she did somethi
MM: Those Seven Months 16
When Roxanne Ritchi first pictured her wedding day as a little girl, she pictured herself wearing a white dress just like a princess, standing next to a handsome prince as they said their vows. The cake would be an enormous chocolate one, covered in candy, and she would arrive and leave in a horse-pulled-carriage. It was a fantasy, and it had soon died as she'd grown older. By the time she was thirty she'd decided that she didn't want the typical white dress, or an enormous cake. She wanted to get married maybe somewhere exotic, and to have a unique wedding which would stand out among the rest.
She got a unique wedding, all right. But she'd never pictured it to be quite like this.
Not that she cared. Roxanne was marrying the man she loved, and that was all that mattered. They were stood in the centre of a fake observatory which had been built onto the Lair's roof, during one of Megamind's schemes two years before. It had been opened up so that the sunset was visible in the background,
Mega Drabbles: Still Want You
Roxanne could not stand looking into his face any longer. His green eyes showed just how vulnerable he really was, and the look he was giving her was one of utter defeat. He had been defeated many times before, but she knew that this one hurt him a lot more than the others. But it was his fault, she kept assuring herself. Not mine.
She passed him and walked away, trying not to look back. Because looking back meant that she still felt something for him. So when she did, she realized that she still wanted him to be hers.
Mega Drabbles: Attachment
There was a knock at the door, before Roxanne's head appeared from behind it.
"Sorry I'm late," she apologized to her boss. "My boyfriend has...attachment issues."
Her boss was about to ask why, but bit his lip to stop his laughter when the rest of his star reporter appeared. Her arms were pinned down by her sides due to said boyfriend hugging her, his arms around her tightly, his face pressing against her back and eyes closed.
"It's not funny," she insisted as her boss began laughing. "He just...didn't want me to leave. Our...first time last night."
Megamind: Just Meant to Be
Straightening his cape, Metro Man prepared to fly to Roxanne's rescue for what seemed like the millionth time (and it could very easily be more), but not before he made sure everything was set for that evening. A table covered in a white tablecloth, with two chairs either side, rose in a vase, and a romantic view of the sun sinking below the horizon. Nothing too fancy, just the way Roxanne likes it.
In his pocket he felt the little box, which contained the ring he hoped she would accept. Unlike the last time. Almost a year before, he had proposed to her; extravagant music, soaring through the air with her, fireworks, and the words "will you marry me?" burnt into a nearby field, curtsy of himself and his laser vision. Boy, had his ego been dented when she flat out refused him.
Her reasons were simple: she didn't love him, he wasn't her type, and she hated it when men went over the top. Which was why he'd gone for the more simple approach, but still showing a little bit of class
Mega Drabbles: Don't Go 1
The rain poured down as she walked away. The villain watched her go, his green eyes watching her every move as she, both literally and figuratively, walked out of his life. It took everything he had to stop himself from breaking down.
But as he watched her, he realized that he just couldn't let her go. Wouldn't let her go. She would not leave him like this. He wouldn't allow it.
He began to walk after her. Minion was wrong. Roxanne was wrong. He wanted to be with her.
For the first time, the bad guy would get the girl.
Mega Drabbles: Alive
Megamind panted, ignoring the shocked citizens as they gathered.
"But Megamind's dead."
"Is he a ghost?"
"He saved us."
He was still unsure about coming out of hiding, but the city was saved. The insane driven Metro Man was gone.
Megamind turned to see Minion and Roxanne approaching, his wife holding Hope in her arms. Immediately his eyes softened, and he slowly approached the three figures before pulling both his girls into a hug. Minion smiled.
People began to clap and cheer, but he didn't pay any attention to them.
He was just thankful his family were alive and safe.
Megamind: UnpredictableMegamind sighed. Two weeks had passed since he had saved the city from Titan, and still people were swarming him when he stepped outside. It had gotten so bad he had put on his holo-watch and changed into Bernard, just for the chance to walk the town peacefully. He blended in and he liked it. That was how he had ended up sitting on the park bench the very same park that he had spent time lying under a tree with the one woman who made him question his life of villainy altogether head resting in his hands. It was good to get away from it all and just be alone; Minion was his best friend, but there were times when the little fish could get annoying.
Megamind was thinking, wondering how his life could have changed so fast and so suddenly. He knew that while things had changed for the moment, they would soon go back to the way they were. An entire city didn't just forget years of villainy and eighty-five life sentences just because he saved them once. The heroic bou
Megamind 100 Word Challenge 871. Obsession
"Minion, can we please leave?" Megamind begged. They were at the thrift store where Minion was feeding his obsession; fish bowls.
"Sir, we just got here and besides," Minion said turning to him "we went to Lowes and Sears. Now it's the thrift store then the Kitchen Corner."
Megamind looked at the creepy cat woman, behind the counter, who owned the store. "Can we just leave? That woman over is giving me the cripes!"
"The creeps, Sir."
"That one too."
Minion rolled his eyes as the woman started to hiss. Megamind and Minion looked at her. "Yeah we can leave."
72. Mischief Managed
"Time to go back to jail, Megamind." Metro Man said, dropping the blue villain next to the police.
Megamind smiled despite being carted off to jail "I promise it won't be a long stay."
Metro Man ignored him saying "Mischief managed."
Roxanne looked at him from where she had been set down before rolling her eyes a bit. "I must say a job well done!" She said at last.
"Well, all in a day'
Sick Day "Sir, I don't think this is a very good idea." Minion said, handing his master their latest weapon. Megamind had woken up this morning sicker than a dog and he still wanted to continue with their plan for today.
Megamind blew it off, placing the ray next to him on his table. "Enough Minion. We have a shedule to keep!"
"Schedule, Sir." Minion corrected.
Megamind ignored him asking "Is the destruct-o-tron ready?"
Minion sighed "Yes, Sir."
"Good. Now go get Roxanne." Megamind commanded.
Minion tried one last time to deter him "Sir, why don't you take a sick day? Seeing as how this is your job, so to speak, you can call in sick!"
Megamind glared at him "Evil does not take sick days Minion, now go get Miss. Ritchi!"
"Fine." Minion sighed before grabbing the spray can and heading to the reporter's apartment.
Megamind - Wake Up Call
WAKE UP CALL
A Megamind Fanfiction
by Ryuko DragonHalf
Normally, the insistent barking of his brain bots was swiftly appeased by tossing a random tool he didn't need at that particular moment. Their chatter would fade to the other end of the Lair, allowing him a few more minutes of work before they would either return, or (if Daddy had run out of patience) find some other chore to perform. It seemed like an odd programming choice for a fleet of robotic drones, but Megamind stood by his ingenuity. His brain bots were attentive, loyal, and could coordinate a laser-light show complete with fog in under four minutes - ergo, the perfect assistant!
Except for today, it seemed. Megamind had been poring over blueprints for a while; he was so wrapped up in his work, he'd thrown three wrenches, four pencils, and a broken keyboard at a persistent brain bot before realizing it hadn't left at all. He finally glanced up with a frown, opened his mouth to berate the disobedient machine
AlienRoxanne Ritchi was walking down the street in downtown Metro City when her phone began to ring. Smiling, she dug her cell phone out of her pocket and flipped it open, her voice warm when she answered. "Hey, Blue. What's up?"
"Roxanne, come quickly!" He sounded excited and her smile widened at the sound of it. "I've made an incredible breakthrough!"
"Okay, I'll be at the lair in 5." She replied, and he clicked off without saying goodbye.
She was barely in the lair when she felt a familiar hand tug her through the holographic wall and into the building. She nearly stumbled as Megamind dragged her through it, struggling to keep up and laughing breathlessly. "Megamind, what's going on!"
His expressive face was bright and he had a huge grin on his face. "Follow me!" He let go of her hand and began walking quickly backwards so he could talk to the girl. She wondered how on earth he could do that and not trip, but he seemed to be doing fine, so she didn't say anything. He began explain
Megamind Genderbent Ch. 9 Megamind pushed the door to her lair open and sadly looked into the darkness. "Okay, Minnie!" she called "You were right! I was less right. We should stick to what we're good at: being evil." Not hearing anything she looked around a bit worried and asked "Minionet?"
Understanding she was now alone, Megamind closed her eyes to let it all sink in 'I've driven everyone I love away. I really am a monster.' Sighing, she opened her eyes as something across the room caught her eye; the red picture of a question mark along with the painting of her and the silhouette of a heroine, fighting. Glaring as realization kicked in, she took a deep breath 'Fine. I'll be the monster.'
Letting out a loud whistle she pointed to one of her many brain-bots as they zoomed to her call "You there!" she cried. The brain-bot floated there unsure she was talking to it, until Vixen, another one of her brain-bots, smacked it harshly, thrusting
Unpredictable At Last "You're SOOOOO predictable," Roxanne Ritchi told Megamind.
"Oh really," said Megamind, swiveling over to a panel and pulling a lever. "Is THIS predictable?"
"Alligators, yess, I was thinking about it on the way over."
"I see. But I'll bet you never predicted-" he swiveled closer to her until they were eye to eye, nose to nose. "This!" he whispered, and kissed her, full on the lips, with tongue. No, Roxanne had most certainly NOT predicted this. She was so much in shock that she had no idea what to do, she couldn't move. And after a moment, she began to actually...Enjoy it. Minion, also, had not predicted this-Not even Megamind had planned it, really, and Megamind planned everything-at all, and he wasn't sure what to do. He was so surprised that he stumbled back, accidentally activating the two-way screens at the Metro Man Museum.
A Mega Proposal Ch. 6 Roxanne woke up to the ringing of her cell phone. "What?" she breathed sitting up. The ringing continued and she hurried around looking under the pillows and blankets trying to find it. "Megamind!" she whispered. "Megamind! Where is it!!?"
"Purse, side pocket." Syx said tiredly.
Roxanne accidently knocked a few things off the bedside table getting to her purse. Falling off the bed she finally got her phone. "Hello!! Hello?! Hello!" she moved back and forth moving around the room trying to get better reception. "Wayne! Hello! Hello! I have terrible reception here!!"
"Oh my God! Roxanne!" Syx cried shutting her up. It was 6:30 in the morning!!
"Wayne, Wayne just a second." Roxanne whispered. The reporter got into a robe, put on some boots and hurried down the stairs and outside. "Wayne, I'm sorry you feel like I pressured you. Of course I want you to be happy. Wayne, Wayne it's going t
Never Seen Her Cry "Minion!" Megamind yelled.
"Coming!" Minion cried racing to his master and best friend. He found his master loitering above his work table with a pencil in hand and paper on the table. "What can I do for you, Sir?" the fish asked cheerfully.
"Tell me what you think?" Megamind said as he raised his design so that Minion could see it. "It's my new design for the city's firefighters!" he said happily.
"That's great, Sir!" Minion said back just as happy, although he had know idea what it was or how it worked. He was happy because Megamind was happy.
"Boys?!" Both males turned toward the direction where the sound had come from. "Where are you?!" Roxanne Richie called as she walked father into the lab.
Megamind's smile grew wider as he dropped his pencil and hurried to meet his reporter girlfriend. "Roxanne!" he said happily once he saw her. He was so happy to see her he picked her up
Mega Drabbles: Remember
Roxanne stared at the little blue necklace she had found in one of Megamind's draws. The memories were coming back to her like a tidal wave. He had given this to her. He had made it. She...she'd been his friend all those years ago.
And she had forgotten.
"Roxanne, do you want-"
He was cut off when she hugged him.
"You kept it all this time- I should have remembered- I'm so sorry-"
She pulled back and showed him the necklace. Megamind was confused at first, but then he looked up and saw her eyes.
