MegaTheme 39: Through the Fire
Roxanne coughed as the smoke swirled around her, and behind her, she could hear the crackling flames as they consumed the Lair and everything Megamind had created. She had left the ropes and the kidnapping chair behind, and was trying to find her way out.
The kidnapping had gone as it had usually gone until Megamind's newest creation had exploded. Roxanne had been able to wriggle from her bonds. She briefly wondered what had happened to Megamind and Minion. A feeling of dread passed through her at the thought of the blast killing them; despite the fact that they had kidnapped her too many times to count...she didn't wish for them to be dead. They didn't deserve it. In reality, they really were quite harmless.
She tried to crawl across the floor, holding her breath for as long as she could, but eventually she had to breathe and the smoke entered her system. The woman coughed again, and fell to the floor as her vision became clouded. She tried to get up, determined to make it out
MegaTheme 8: Kick in the Head
"And what's more, Miss Ritchi, is that you can put a stop to this," Megamind continued, after explaining his evil plan. "Just agree to be my Evil Queen, and I will leave your boyfriend alone and this city."
Roxanne rolled her eyes; first he impressed her, then he made a fool of himself with the chair, and now he was giving her the Evil Queen lecture again.
On a Sunday morning too.
"After all, you're a fine...specimen," he said, his green eyes staring at her legs.
Her jaw dropped. That's it!
"You don't have to give me your answer now!" he continued. "In fact, why don't you give it after I've shown you the power I have-"
He was cut off when her leg came up and kicked him in the head.
MegaTheme 34: Out Cold
When Megamind awoke, there was an ice pack upon his head, strapped in the place where the dull aching pain was admitting from. He groaned.
The alien looked to the side, and from around the corner Minion appeared, looking a little worried, but now relieved to see that his master had awoken.
"Are you all right, sir?" he asked.
"Yes," replied Megamind, as he sat up on the couch. "What happened?"
"Miss Ritchi kicked you in the head, sir," the fish explained. "You've been out cold for an hour."
Megamind groaned again. I knew I shouldn't have checked her out. Not that I could resist...
"Where is she now?"
"I took her home."
The alien nodded.
"OK, good," he said. "But next time, Minion? Tie her legs together. And to the chair."
MegaTheme 6: Danger Ahead
The car drove right past the sign, and Roxanne managed to look behind her from her position in the front seat. Her hands were tied, preventing her from whacking her kidnapper for ignoring the sign.
"You did read that sign, right?" she asked.
"Miss Ritchi, I read that sign before you did," he explained, before tapping his large head with a finger. "My head is big for a reason; it can read things faster than a mere human could."
"Well, that "brilliant" brain of yours obviously didn't read the sign properly," said Roxanne.
"Oh, you mean the 'Danger Ahead' part?" he said. "Minion put that there to keep people out. There's nothing to worry about."
Five minutes later...
The invisible car was hanging over a cliff, and neither captive nor kidnapper dared to move.
"Nothing to worry about, huh?"
Megamind began to climb into the back seat, only to be interrupted by Roxanne clearing her throat. He looked at her, and she gestured to her wrists. The villain
MegaTheme 14: Multitasking
Roxanne awoke to the sound of typing, humming, and the electronic beeping noises of a computer. Her eyes opened, and before her, she saw Megamind sat at his desk. But what she witnessed impressed her.
Megamind was typing on two different computers, connected to two different screens, and his eyes passed between each one so quickly she was surprised how he could keep up. And on top of that, he was humming a tune.
That head was big for a reason.
She would have suspected him of showing off...but he didn't know she was awake, and there was no one else around to show off to. Not even Minion but then again, the fish had probably seen this hundreds of times, so that wouldn't count if he was present.
His eyes glanced over at her, and noticing her awake, he smiled it was the usual smile, forced, whenever he was trying to act evil.
"Miss Ritchi! Glad you're awake!"
He finished off what he was doing without even looking and turned his full attention on her. And on top of that, he di
MegaTheme 26: Broken Pieces
When Megamind saw the broken pieces of the glass scattered across the apartment floor, he knew something was wrong.
"Megamind, you're the last person I want to see," came Roxanne's voice, and the villain turned to see his kidnapping victim in the doorway that led to her bedroom. "Just go. I'm not in the mood to be kidnapped."
She turned and slammed the door shut behind her without another word. Usually Megamind would ignore her pleas and just kidnap her anyway. But he'd seen it in her eyes; something was definitely wrong, and he wanted to know what.
Putting away his gun he cautiously made his way over to the bedroom door and opened it, to find Roxanne lying in her bed with her face buried in a pillow. When she heard the door open, the women picked up her other pillow and tossed it at the villain, who ducked to avoid it.
"I said go!" she yelled, not even bothering to look up and face him.
"Roxanne?" Megamind began, his voice unusually soft. "What's wrong?"
Realizing she'd never heard Me
MegaTheme 24: Are You Challenging Me?
"Are you challenging me?"
"Maybe. Maybe not."
Megamind smirked. He was glad that Roxanne was enjoying the date, despite the fact that he'd pretty much forced her into it. The pair of them were actually having a really good time.
This came as a surprise for Roxanne. She knew that Megamind could be entertaining sometimes, but that entertainment always bordered on annoying. And sometimes, he was just downright annoying altogether. But now... She didn't know what to say.
"Of course I can catch more grapes in my mouth than you!" Megamind went on to say.
It was dark, and the pair were having a picnic which Minion had packed for them outside the old observatory. The night was clear and warm, and the stars shone down upon the pair as if lightening them up in approval.
Raising her eyebrows at the alien's comment, Roxanne picked up a handful of grapes.
"OK then, Mr. Smarty-Pants. Catch!"
She threw them all at him. Megamind, with his mouth open ready, caught only one while the rest thudded
MegaTheme 5: Waiting
The lair was silent as the three waited.
Roxanne was tied to her chair once more, one leg crossed over the other while she looked at something rather interesting on the ceiling. Minion was stood behind her, twiddling his fingers patiently.
Megamind was, at first, spinning in his chair, but then he began to tap his foot impatiently, followed by an exaggerated sigh.
"What's taking that big oaf so long?" he demanded.
Roxanne rolled her eyes.
"I told you already; he's helping with an evacuation in Japan. One of the volcanoes is about to erupt," she explained.
"And that's more important to him rather than saving his girlfriend?" the alien questioned.
"I'm not his girlfriend."
"Sure you're not."
Roxanne, once again, rolled her eyes.
"Besides, both he and I know that you'll never really hurt me," she said. "And now would be the perfect time to take over the city; but instead, you're waiting for him to come back."
Megamind opened his mouth to banter back, but closed it again when he found noth
MegaTheme 21: Obsession
Roxanne knew there were plenty of other women in the city, and that she wasn't the most gorgeous looking out of all of them...and yet, she had three guys obsessing over her, two of which weren't even human. And the third was just a creep.
She used to wonder why she couldn't find a normal guy to be with, but this desire soon faded when she discovered that normal was boring. Imagining a life with a normal guy just didn't work; there wouldn't be enough excitement in her life, and she wouldn't stick around for very long.
But what did the three un-normal guys see in her? That was what she wanted to know. Did they see the same as the other did, or were they attracted to different qualities? She wanted to find out.
Roxanne decided to bring up the topic when she and Hal were setting up for an interview with Metro Man. The red head was setting up the camera while Roxanne was reading over her questions, giving them a last minute edit.
"Why do you like me?" she asked, trying not to
Megamind 100 Word Challenge 871. Obsession
"Minion, can we please leave?" Megamind begged. They were at the thrift store where Minion was feeding his obsession; fish bowls.
"Sir, we just got here and besides," Minion said turning to him "we went to Lowes and Sears. Now it's the thrift store then the Kitchen Corner."
Megamind looked at the creepy cat woman, behind the counter, who owned the store. "Can we just leave? That woman over is giving me the cripes!"
"The creeps, Sir."
"That one too."
Minion rolled his eyes as the woman started to hiss. Megamind and Minion looked at her. "Yeah we can leave."
72. Mischief Managed
"Time to go back to jail, Megamind." Metro Man said, dropping the blue villain next to the police.
Megamind smiled despite being carted off to jail "I promise it won't be a long stay."
Metro Man ignored him saying "Mischief managed."
Roxanne looked at him from where she had been set down before rolling her eyes a bit. "I must say a job well done!" She said at last.
"Well, all in a day'
Sick Day "Sir, I don't think this is a very good idea." Minion said, handing his master their latest weapon. Megamind had woken up this morning sicker than a dog and he still wanted to continue with their plan for today.
Megamind blew it off, placing the ray next to him on his table. "Enough Minion. We have a shedule to keep!"
"Schedule, Sir." Minion corrected.
Megamind ignored him asking "Is the destruct-o-tron ready?"
Minion sighed "Yes, Sir."
"Good. Now go get Roxanne." Megamind commanded.
Minion tried one last time to deter him "Sir, why don't you take a sick day? Seeing as how this is your job, so to speak, you can call in sick!"
Megamind glared at him "Evil does not take sick days Minion, now go get Miss. Ritchi!"
"Fine." Minion sighed before grabbing the spray can and heading to the reporter's apartment.
Megamind - Wake Up Call
WAKE UP CALL
A Megamind Fanfiction
by Ryuko DragonHalf
Normally, the insistent barking of his brain bots was swiftly appeased by tossing a random tool he didn't need at that particular moment. Their chatter would fade to the other end of the Lair, allowing him a few more minutes of work before they would either return, or (if Daddy had run out of patience) find some other chore to perform. It seemed like an odd programming choice for a fleet of robotic drones, but Megamind stood by his ingenuity. His brain bots were attentive, loyal, and could coordinate a laser-light show complete with fog in under four minutes - ergo, the perfect assistant!
Except for today, it seemed. Megamind had been poring over blueprints for a while; he was so wrapped up in his work, he'd thrown three wrenches, four pencils, and a broken keyboard at a persistent brain bot before realizing it hadn't left at all. He finally glanced up with a frown, opened his mouth to berate the disobedient machine
Megamind Genderbent Ch. 10 Randal sighed in frustration as the doorbell to his apartment rang. He got up and walked to the door. Looking in the little eye whole, he rolled his eyes when he saw Megamind looking right back at him. He opened the door, keeping the chain on it, asked rudely "What do you want?"
"Titania's turned evil." Megamind said smushing her face into the little opening the chain offered.
"Congratulations!" Randal said sarcastically "Another one of your genius plans has back fired on you!" Thinking for a moment he then added, annoyed "And why did my doorwoman even let you up?!" Megamind sighed on the other side of the door and held up a small glowing blue cube. "Ah, Carlotta." He said sadly, taking the cube from her.
Suddenly getting angry he pushed the door against Megamind making her cry out "Randal! No, please! I need your help!"
"Why do you need my help?" he snapped.
Megamind: UnpredictableMegamind sighed. Two weeks had passed since he had saved the city from Titan, and still people were swarming him when he stepped outside. It had gotten so bad he had put on his holo-watch and changed into Bernard, just for the chance to walk the town peacefully. He blended in and he liked it. That was how he had ended up sitting on the park bench the very same park that he had spent time lying under a tree with the one woman who made him question his life of villainy altogether head resting in his hands. It was good to get away from it all and just be alone; Minion was his best friend, but there were times when the little fish could get annoying.
Megamind was thinking, wondering how his life could have changed so fast and so suddenly. He knew that while things had changed for the moment, they would soon go back to the way they were. An entire city didn't just forget years of villainy and eighty-five life sentences just because he saved them once. The heroic bou
AlienRoxanne Ritchi was walking down the street in downtown Metro City when her phone began to ring. Smiling, she dug her cell phone out of her pocket and flipped it open, her voice warm when she answered. "Hey, Blue. What's up?"
"Roxanne, come quickly!" He sounded excited and her smile widened at the sound of it. "I've made an incredible breakthrough!"
"Okay, I'll be at the lair in 5." She replied, and he clicked off without saying goodbye.
She was barely in the lair when she felt a familiar hand tug her through the holographic wall and into the building. She nearly stumbled as Megamind dragged her through it, struggling to keep up and laughing breathlessly. "Megamind, what's going on!"
His expressive face was bright and he had a huge grin on his face. "Follow me!" He let go of her hand and began walking quickly backwards so he could talk to the girl. She wondered how on earth he could do that and not trip, but he seemed to be doing fine, so she didn't say anything. He began explain
Unpredictable At Last "You're SOOOOO predictable," Roxanne Ritchi told Megamind.
"Oh really," said Megamind, swiveling over to a panel and pulling a lever. "Is THIS predictable?"
"Alligators, yess, I was thinking about it on the way over."
"I see. But I'll bet you never predicted-" he swiveled closer to her until they were eye to eye, nose to nose. "This!" he whispered, and kissed her, full on the lips, with tongue. No, Roxanne had most certainly NOT predicted this. She was so much in shock that she had no idea what to do, she couldn't move. And after a moment, she began to actually...Enjoy it. Minion, also, had not predicted this-Not even Megamind had planned it, really, and Megamind planned everything-at all, and he wasn't sure what to do. He was so surprised that he stumbled back, accidentally activating the two-way screens at the Metro Man Museum.
Megamind Genderbent Ch. 11 Megamind took a city bus all the way to the prison sadly watching the city pass by. When she finally made it back she stepped out of the bus as two officers grabbed their guns looking completely shocked as she walked passed them determined. They escorted her inside where she met the Warden with a sad face. The warden looked at her surprised, but when Megamind held up her hands for her to cuff she nodded and did just that, letting the guards take her back to her cell.
"Unless someone comes to our aid soon, all maybe lost. Thousands have already fled the city in a mass exodus. Remaining citizens are warned to stay indoors until further notice. Authorities have issued a warning to stay out of the downtown area at all costs."
Randal drove as fast as he could down the deserted and burning streets of Metro City. He had to try and do something! Finally he made it to Metro tower where Haley was redesigning the city buildings with her
Sickness is Bliss MM OneshotRoxanne was so excited. Tonight was the night she would finally get to show off her domestic skills in front of Megamind. She let herself into his house-lair- and stacked the paper grocery bags up along the counter. She had a good hour before he would get home, so she allowed herself time to find a good bottle of wine in the pantry and turn on some music. She'd been to his place so many times before, but she'd never had the chance to cook him a good meal.
She pulled out pots and pans and unpacked her groceries. She unwrapped a package of chicken breasts and laid them out in the bottom of a baking pan. Roxanne perused Megamind's pantry until she found a good mix of herbs to season the chicken with. Once she was done, she slid the tray into the oven and set the timer. Since it was too early to start cooking the vegetables she decided to freshen up in anticipation of the night. She walked down the hall to Megamind's bedroom and opened his closet. Several weeks ago the couple decided to st
MegaTheme 35: Spiral
"So Miss Ritchi-" Spin, "you must be wondering-" Spin, "what I have-" Spin, "instore for you-" Spin, "today."
"Seriously, what are you doing?"
Megamind stopped spinning in his chair, giving her a confused look.
"Why Miss Ritchi, I am spinning in my chair!" he informed. "What's the point of having one if you don't spin in it? I will admit, the human race has a slight chance of surviving, considering they invented these things!"
He then spun himself round faster than before, letting out a happy cry.
But it died as he slowed down and saw Roxanne raising an eyebrow at him.
"Um," he said hesitantly, wondering if he should risk injuring her by hitting her with the Forget-Me-Stick. "That doesn't leave the Lair, Miss Ritchi."
She only shrugged. The impressed attitude she had felt towards him earlier was gone.
The Parlour IncidentOne day in July, I believe it was, I found myself sitting with several acquaintances in Christopher's parlour. It was one of those deliciously lazy afternoons which only the summer in her full glory can bring. The room had a wan, listless light to it, relaxing the other guests and myself as we languidly chatted over tea and crumpets. The air was also sluggishly heavy, dulling the senses to a slowly-blended calm engendered by the heat of St. Othniel's southerly climate.
At length, after much stimulating conversation, Christopher stood, producing a book of sheet music.
"What do you all say to a bit of music?" he asked.
"Certainly," I answered.
"Oh yes, please do darling!" Tabitha exclaimed, "he's quite the maestro."
Christopher laughed, shaking his head.
"Now, now love, I'd not go that far."
He strode over to the piano as the other guests urged him on. Ida entered the room bearing a merrily steaming teapot and more crumpets.
"More tea sirs?" she inquired, shooting sideways glances at her
